The development of new technologies in wind energy has accelerated rapidly over the last ten years. In the past, a wind turbine could only supply a fraction of households with electricity. Wind farm Winnberg: First wind turbine with 199m hub height

The end of 2026 will see our prototype turbine with a hub height of 199 meters go into operation at the Winnberg wind farm. What makes this project so special is not only the record-breaking hub height, but also the direct supply of the energy generated into the nearby Max Bögl headquarters in Sengenthal.

The wind turbine is currently in the final stages of assembly. Commissioning is scheduled for the fall. And it will set a new world record for height: as the tallest series-produced onshore wind turbine! The energy cell at the Sengenthal headquarters, currently equipped with its own photovoltaic systems, a combined heat and power plant, and a battery storage facility, will become even more energy self-sufficient thanks to the wind turbine's direct power supply.

Wind energy in demand like never before: Over 1,000 hybrid towers per year

Energy transition drives expansion of renewable energies

Demand for onshore wind turbines is increasing due to ambitious expansion targets. In order to meet this demand, we now produce over 1,000 hybrid towers per year at three production sites in Germany. In doing so, we are also making a significant contribution to providing the necessary capacity for the rapid expansion of wind energy.

Transportation and logistics

The control of the entire project logistics and the safe transportation of all tower components is carried out by a separate division, which ensures precise, punctual and economical work over long distances. Thanks to our large fleet of vehicles, we can transport the segments and components flexibly and independently. We also use waterways, for example the North Sea at our Emden site and the Kiel Canal at our site in Osterrönfeld.

Foundation works

The hybrid tower is based on a ring foundation made of in-situ concrete in order to safely transfer the loads from the wind and the weight of the turbines into the ground. Our experienced foundation construction team takes care of the entire construction process: from creating the clean layer and installing the reinforcement to concreting and post-treatment of the foundation and, if necessary, the required special foundations.

Tower installation

On construction site, we ensure the smooth installation of the concrete tower and system components. Using specially developed assembly devices, the segments manufactured in the factory are joined together on site to form complete rings. The concrete parts, which are grinded using a CNC machine, are then placed precisely and quickly on top of each other in a "dry joint". This construction method makes it possible to erect towers in almost any weather conditions.
