Max Bögl Group invests in a new plant for hybrid towers at the Emden site

Wind energy is one of the key technologies in the energy transition. It has the potential to generate a large amount of green electricity and thus make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.

As the market and technology leader, the Max Bögl Group is setting new standards in the field of tall towers for wind turbines with its Hybrid Tower Bögl. In Germany, the tower system made of concrete and steel is in great demand among turbine manufacturers. Max Bögl has now decided to take over wind tower production at the Emden site in Lower Saxony in order to meet the increased demand from the industry. The current in-house capacity amounts to 600 towers per year.

In fall 2023, Bettels Betonfertigteile started production of the Hybrid Tower Bögl at the Emden site. After the ramp-up phase, Max Bögl has now decided to take over production. With the new production facility, Max Bögl is investing further in the site and securing around 120 jobs.

"By taking over wind tower production in Emden, we can significantly expand our own production capacities. This will enable us to guarantee high and consistent product quality and ensure delivery reliability for our customers. We expect high demand for our tower system in the coming years and are thus supporting the expansion of renewable energies in Germany.
"
