Boom in Wind energy: Max Bögl Group increases production capacity for hybrid towers once again

Just in time for the start of the trade fair, the Bavarian company is providing an interesting topic of conversation in the Wind energy industry: tower manufacturer Max Bögl will further expand its production capacities for hybrid towers for the European market. It was only in July of this year that the group of companies announced that it had big plans with the takeover of the former Bettels precast plant in Emden. The company is now responding to the continuing high demand from plant manufacturers for hybrid towers and is expanding its production capacity even further.

"Our new plant in Emden already has many years of tower construction experience: on the one hand through its history, as it used to be Enercon's tower plant, and on the other through our production experts, who are now working with their new colleagues in Emden to turn the plant into a Max Bögl plant," says Stefan Bögl, CEO of the Group. "The new production facility has enormous potential for us, not only thanks to the motivated team of currently 120 people, but also the direct connection to the North Sea and the size of the site offer very good opportunities for expanding production capacities."

Bettels Betonfertigteile began production of the Bögl hybrid tower at the Emden site in fall 2023. After the ramp-up phase, Max Bögl decided to take over production and expand it further. With the expansion of the Emden production facility, Max Bögl is investing further in the location and thus securing more jobs for the region.

"The energy transition is a task for generations and that is precisely why we need committed people who want to make their contribution. For the Emden region, we are currently creating interesting and promising jobs in various professional fields in order to drive forward the expansion of capacities and, in a broader sense, the expansion of green energy in and around Germany.

As the market and technology leader, the Max Bögl Group is setting new standards with its Bögl hybrid tower, which now incorporates 15 years of experience and technical development. In Germany, the tower system made of concrete and steel is in great demand among plant manufacturers. Max Bögl currently operates three production plants with a capacity of around 600 towers per year. Now the new plant in Lower Saxony is being expanded even further to meet the increased demand in the industry.

From September 24 - 27, Max Bögl will be represented at the world's leading trade fair for the wind industry, WindEnergy, in Hamburg. Visitors to the trade fair can find out more about the tower concept and vacancies in Hall A4 at Stand 209 - either via interesting digital gadgets or in a personal conversation.
