Environmental concretes for sustainable construction: Max Bögl presents innovative products at the GreenTech Festival in Berlin

The issue of sustainability in the construction industry is becoming increasingly important. The main focus here is on the building material concrete, which causes the main CO2 emissions due to its cement content. The Max Bögl Group has set itself the task of developing sustainable concrete formulas that already reduce CO2 emissions by up to 50% compared to conventionally used concretes by using cement substitutes.

The GreenTech Festival in Berlin focused on sustainable innovations and green T-echnologies over two days. Max Bögl presented its innovative products and solutions for sustainable construction and the production of high-performance concretes. These concretes are used in a wide range of applications - from modular building and residential construction concepts to towers for wind turbines, smart mobility solutions in infrastructure and a self-developed, automated magnetic levitation train, the Transport System Bögl.

"We have set ourselves the goal of harmonizing ecological and economic factors in order to increase the sustainability of our products and services. As a company, we are thus shaping an environmentally friendly future in the various areas of construction."

However, Max Bögl is not only improving its carbon footprint with concrete mix designs, but also through the use of digital systems in all areas of the company: processes in production, assembly and administration can be optimized with the help of digitalization. Lean component geometries, an adapted use of resources and efficient logistics processes can reduce waste enormously.

The group of companies was able to present these diverse approaches to an interested audience at the GreenTech Festival. Among the visitors to the stand was Berlin's Senator for Economic Affairs Franziska Giffey and the Federal Minister of Transport Dr. Volker Wissing, to whom CEO Markus Richthammer presented the company and its products.
